Resources for Students New to Reasearch

As part of providing a useful and thorough one-stop-shop Canvas Home page, I include there a collection of important research links students can use when they need assistance. I show these links to students on the first day of class, when I provide a brief Canvas tour, and contextualize their use cases.
For my composition students, these links are especially important because they are facing a new level of research expectation in college. And because most of my composition students are first-years, I make it a point to provide links to Penn State resources, such as the various very helpful pages on the Library website that are often buried out of sight. I also give students links to external resources that may be helpful outside of the confines of our class.
I make use of these links at specific points during the semester, to demonstrate when they can aid students' work.
